I picked up an Ameristep Brickhouse on sale at the beginning of the season for $99.   I used it several times with my 14 yo son.   So far so good.   I've been perfectly happy with it and it didn't cost a fortune.  Hopefully, I will get a few seasons out of it.

I have a Barronette Grounder 250 as well as a Double Bull Deluxe Double Wide. I prefer the Double Bull. It is made with better material, and the hub system is better constructed with thicker rods. The Double Bull is pretty heavy though. I think both are great and wouldn't hesitate using either, but if I had to pick its the Double Bull for me.
