Seasons are open in many areas. Lots of kill/hero shots n congrats to everyone. Youth days were no exception, seems every proud pop, uncle, neighbor or friend was in on it. Very good.
As the seasons progress, we often get into the number thing. Just one more, maybe it'll be my best year yet, etc. all good stuff.
But. . .
Those same kids may still wanna hunt, maybe some kid wants to kill his/her first bird, second bird, , go on a next hunt. Watch a bird fly out of a tree, gobble n strut.
Truth is the most important thing we make is memories. Cold winter nights we remember them, the same for hot summer days.
When we're gone people will only have those memories of times shared to remember us by.
Imagine the kid, now a man or woman thinking of being mentored by you, lump in their throat as they now take a new hunter out for the first time. They watch a ball of feathers walk into one of those moments.
You can make it happen. Pass it down even during the regular seasons. Bring a kid
