THANKS for that info. I've put together a rem1100 with CompNChioke for my 12 yo son and needed to hear this.
SO with 2 3/4 ONLY as my option, I'm gonna try Rem Nitro#4's and #5's, I'll report back here with pattern results.

Just because my gun(s) prefer #4 or #5 over #6 doesn't mean that #6 isn't a very viable option for you, especially in a 2¾" chambered gun. Only your patterning can determine what is best for you and your son. The loads in
