Late season New Mexico pub land birds?

Hey guys..

Thinking about heading out to one of the national forests in New Mexico this weekend and hunting all of next week. I know the season will have been open two weeks, just wanting opinions on how the birds may be acting the first week of May. Plenty of birds left? I'm not set on my area yet, but it will likely be Gila or Lincoln National Forest. I'll take any information you are willing to provide, PM me, don't post it!
