Lamar Williams?

Looking at getting put on a list for a paddle box call.. Came across info on Steve Mann and saw videos of his work and am impressed.. I keep seeing Lamar williams name along
With his in that they were both apprentices of the late Neil Cost.. I see nothing but good reviews of Lamar Williams however I have found nothing otherwise about him like I have about Steve Mann..Can anybody give me info on him? Are his calls on par with or better than Mann made? It seems his wait list is longer.. Just seeing what all info I can find on him. I'm leaning toward Mann at this time do to what all I've seen on his work and videos and availability of info on him.

If you can wait until January, go to the Unicoi call makers show and meet and play and buy one from either one. Both were there this past year and I'm sure they will be back in 17. They are both real nice guys and make awesome boxes.

Lamar is a fine gentleman and an OUTSTANDING call maker.

I've been on his waiting list a time or two and feel it was completely worth the wait.   Yep.

I couldn't agree more. His calls are made for hunting and sound pure turkey. Not a lot of frills, just that classic look. They will also hold or appreciate in value.

Hard to go wrong with a box call from either Gentleman.

If it were me and I was only going to buy one, it would be a Paddle call...
