It has been a tough season so far for me. Finally was able to seal the deal on this bird this morning. 11 inch beard and 1 inch Spurs.

Congratulations. Nice bird. It's been a tough season down here in southwest ms for me. Killed a bird the first week and missed another the same week. After that I haven't found a bird that will work. Had one gobble 3 times from 8 to 830 this am about 80 yards from me. Tried everything and couldn't get it done. Finally got up and came home at 130. Maybe tomorrow.

I don't know what's up with the birds this year. It's been really difficult to find one and when you do they are extremely call shy. But that's what makes this so fun and frustrating! Been after that one for five of the last 6 days. Man I enjoy turkey hunting.

You gotta love the birds that give you a hard time.
