Super Elite 2 vs Super Elite 3

Sorry this is search for a review. I have a super elite 3 that is beginning to fall apart. I am so bummed that they aren't made anymore. My question is, how does the SE2 stack up? I bought my son an ol tom time and motion essentials and it has a miserable amount of storage. I surely don't want to go that way. I am really trying to find something close to the elite 3. I have really gotten spoiled by being able to carry what I want.
