Just got back in the country, and at work till next weekend... din its on!

Patiently waiting on Saturday and the snow to get here. Supposed to be 22 degrees with a 20 mph wind. Couple of inches of snow...
Only get to hunt 1 month, I'll be hard at it come daylight. Maybe the next day will be better. First year that I get to turkey hunt on Sunday in NC !

I have been digging my ice fishing gear back out. 18 deg here now....

Struggling.  Since killing a bird opening day (March 20), I have only had two birds that would work.  Rest of the time is has been quiet.  I have hunted 14 out of 18 days.  Got little over 4 weeks to go.

Ready to kick it off on Saturday - not real optimistic, weather looks like a mess - cold/rain/snow/wind, but will give it hell regardless.   

I did hear Bowhoop started things off with a real good one - but he's in primitive camping mode so it'll be a while before we hear from him.

Man, that cold weather is kickin Yalls butt... It'll break and y'all will be smashing heads for too long.
I'm held up at work for an additional two days, so my weekend hunting is shot. Our weather is either blowing 15-20kts or raining... Go figure

Woke up this morning to 6" of snow. This is getting ridiculous...

Tucked a pair in last night, got in tight this morning and was able to get it done before the rain and wind hit. Sitting under these birds first thing had me shaking so bad with adrenaline, I was quickly reminded why I obsess myself over these magnificent creatures.  I have the contest pics but need to find a cable to the camera I suspect a 15 month old relocated  ... Feels great to be back out there!

Woke up to 35 mph winds and sleet this morning. Tried it for awhile but it got kinda' dangerous to be near the woods today. Tomorrow morning looks to be perfect, ready to bust one at flydown. Congrats Derek, Whitelightning and Chctlabz !!
