I have an old Ben Lee super hen trough call that the striking surface was messed up on. I heated it up and it peeled right off. It's not an expensive call but I would like to fix it since my buddy drove to Ben's shop in coffeeville AL. to get it and Ben signed it for him, almost 40 years ago. My question is how to replace the striking area , like how much glue, how thick the replacement strip should be. The old strip was aluminum and there was hardly any glue, I would like to use a different material if it would still sound good. I would appreciate any help. Thanks,Steve.
