Truglo Gobble Dot Windage Adjustment Issues

I have this sight on 2 guns. On one it works fine but on the newer one I am having issues adjusting the windage. I loosen the screw and then slide the sight to the right and hold it there firmly while tightening the screw. As I tighten the screw the sight moves back to the middle no matter how hard I push against it. If I adjust the sight a whole bunch by sliding it way to the side then it stays but it won't allow for slight adjustments as again when I tighten the screw it goes back to the middle.

Any thoughts on this?

sounds like the set screw make an indentation in the base, so when you tighten it it jumps back into the indention. You can try sanding it smooth, should work.  Hit it with a sharpy if it gets shiny.
