THE END OF TIME,this is a something I can't get off my mind. So I will try to summarize a Biblical view without rambling.
No man knows. No prophecy indicates that time. No passage reveals that day. It is pure speculation to name a day, and one who presumes to do so is a false prophet. Peter informs us, with reference to it, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night" (1 Pet. 3:10). It will be the last day (Jo. 6:44). It will be the end of time (1 Cor. 15:24). We are admonished to "watch and be ready," to make that preparation to meet him in joy and peace at his coming. "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? (1 Thess. 2:19).
Throughout History times have been almost as bleak! WWII and Hitler and Japan. The Great Depression the plagues of the 18th Century and so on. But until now the Nations of the World powers have been limited. We now have enough Nuclear Warheads to totally destroy the world in a singe day. (The world will be destroyed by fire in the end).
I keep it simple, Jesus said "keep watch" Matt 24:42. I look for him Daily. Knowing I am ready. I know my family is ready and I share his Redemption with as many as possible.
Raise your sons and daughters, teach them about Jesus, you know and believe in and show them what God is doing through you, and be prepared at all times.
My personal belief is yes it is hard not to see this as the last days. All Major Prophecy's have been fulfilled except for one...His return, We are in my opinion in the last days. But my opinion does not count! I am just an Observer of the times.
You might say, "All in all if it is the end.... I'm going out at peace with myself, or so I hope." Just don't hope...KNOW. Christ will be Victorious and all who call him and know him as Lord will be saved.
