got a couple questions on finishing trumpets.
1. what do yall prefer to finish them with?
2. does type of finish effect sound in anyway?
3. what is the best way to finish the inside of the call?

thanks for the help.

A lot of guys use CA to finish their trumpets. Shouldn't affect the sound. I use only sand paper on the inside of the trumpet.

Different woods need different finishes I USE C A,  Tru oil, Tung oil, and some woods I only polish with no finish.

Not exactly a trumpet but similar in shape... I finish the inside of my howlers with CA.  I just use a q-tip and swrirl it a few coats on until it is all covered.  I do this even after an oil finish.

You gonna have to try it.  That is the best way to answer these questions.

I finishe the out side with a combination CA and Mylands friction polish. I use the ca to seal it and the friction to get the sheen I want. The inside is either sanded and or ca glued inside then followed up with sanding to fill any cells...
