You pick the shell

I got my Remington back from the gunsmith.  He cut the barrel down to 21" I have a Indian creek choke tube.  What shell would you recommend?

What thread pattern for chokes was he able to rethread it for?

If that is a .665 Indian creek, I would recommend LB 5 or 6's or Hevi 6's.  Good Luck.

Well I am assuming rem chokes since the indian creek is what i had in it when I brought it to him.

Longbeards, mag blends, hevi 6 or 5. Lots of good loads for that combo. I'm sure it'll be a slayer!!

3 inch Hevi 6's and 3 inch Mag Blends pattern great thru my Remington 1187 with 21" barrel and a .665 Indian Creek choke.

I got a 23" 870 with a .665 Indian Creek and it shoots 3.5" #5 longbeards very tight. Nitro h517 in 4-5-7 is about right . Good even pattern in about a 15" circle.
