Bad deal

I'm looking for input from fellow OG members. Last april I bought a choke from a guy on here, my dumb fault for not trying it when I got it but I had my gun dialed in and didn't want to mess with anything.
I got it out yesterday to put it in my gun and the first two threads were stripped but on the back side (couldn't see it in the package). I guess what I want to know is: what would you do? Being a year later I am not expecting a refund. I have done a lot of deals on here with no problems at all and developed too much trust I suppose.

See if you can repair the threads.
When I turkey hunt I use a DSD decoy

What about calling the choke manufacture and seeing if they can repair the choke or replace it..most chokes come with a life time replacement..also you might could contact Suntoy custom choke and he might be able to repair the choke..

that's really smart, deal with the choke company they might give you a new one.

The cost of shipping it and paying someone for labor will probably be cost prohibitive because chokes are not highly valuable.

If the call to the manufacturer does not work out and you want to mess with, you might consider searching for a cheap kit from Harbor Freight or move up a couple of notches to KD Tool/Gearwrench.

Thanks for the sugggestions. I have talked to sumtoy. I tried my thread files and dies but had nothing with the proper thread to match the choke. I will call primos to see if they will warranty it but i doubt it since its not a manufacture default. I only payed $35 for it so sending it out will probably cost as much as the choke. What bothers me most is someone would put a choke up for sale with bad threads.
