I'm gonna give Stoeger a try. What is anyone's experience with 3500 or 3000? Is it really a big enough benefit or at all to go to the 3 1/2" over the 3". I don't want to spend a $100 more on the 3500 to find out I'm only going to shoot 3" out of it. This gun will probably only be used for turkey hunting. Thank you in advance!

You can't go wrong with either ID say. I bought the M3000 cause I don't shoot 3.5's anymore. 3's are more than enought for anything you want to hunt with it. It's all personal preference really. I had a Mossberg 935 but traded it out since I had no use for a 3.5" gun. I duck hunt, dove hunt and turkey hunt,  all with 2.75" and 3's. 3" shells are cheaper too. Save the $100 and buy a TRS 25 to put on top!

Good luck on your decision,
Jon

I own a 3500 and really like it.  I have not handled a 3000 but assume quality is similar.
My 3500 handles many different types of ammo well and it does very well with an older Jellyhead choke and Longbeard 5's and 6's (3" or 3.5").  It also shoots MagBlends very well out of same choke. The 3500 comes drilled and tapped for a scope mount and the scope mount base is included...I am not sure on the 3000.  I am mounting  a Simmons Pro-Diamond 1.5-4X variable on the 3500 this season.  The trigger pull is heavy on the 3500.
