Dumb question, but when I pull my trigger assembly on my 11-87 to replace the trigger spring? Should I remove it with the safety on or off? Just was not sure if the safety was on, it might be harder to compress/replace spring? Thanks

Not sure how I did mine but mine now has an awesome trigger....good luck...dont be scared just take it out!

What spring did you put in, I'm putting in a Patriot, but not sure what to expect?

When I installed the patriot sear spring in my 870, I did it with safety off.  It made it easier, because I had to pull the trigger to relieve the tension of the spring before I removed it.  Just hold you hand over the trigger hammer before you pull it, so the hammer won't mash a finger or something.

heck I just pulled my stock one and cut it a (not to be mentioned here, but small) hair at a time until I got it like I wanted.  Worked GREAT
