Dream pot call

Since this a slow time of the year, waiting for spring season to start.  Have you ever thought, I like the way this one clucks, and this one purrs, and this one yelps.  I don't have a lot of pot calls, but with that being said here is my dream call.

It would be hard to pick just one. Slate is my favorite surface in a hunting call with aluminum being a very close second.

However, the absolute most realistic call I've ever had in my hands is a crystal over slate in a cherry pot by Mark Cornelius. It's head and shoulders above everything else in my opinion. Easy kee kees, incredible two note yelps, hard cutting. It has alot of range but can also soft talk with the best of them.

I just heard Mark Cornelius file of his walnut laminate glass call that is flat out awesome.  Talked with Mark on the phone and he feels its the best glass call he has ever made.  Thing is great.  Heard a file of Brad Roberts new glass over aluminum call and cant say enough good things about this call also.  I don't have a dream pot but I always dream about the new calls I have on order.  Scoot

On a serious note,  my dream pot would be one that starts at a mid tone and drops into a raspy finish.  It needs to be able to purr with ease and make a good kee kee.  Most important is the ease at which it runs.  I mean I hate a finicky call that you have to hold striker just right and pressure and all of that.  I live in Wisconsin and have been sitting in snowbanks in the so called spring morning and trying to run a call when its 20 degrees out is tough in those conditions.  Like to be able to pick call up and just start to run it with ease.  Usually though those are box call conditions but I like running pot calls.  Scoot

If I couldn't do it all with a particular call, including getting loud & really soft it wouldn't go hunting.  Mike
