Now how does peach sound and what hardness would it be comparable to? Those are "sweet" strikers!

Hopefully I can maybe answer your questions.I think most all Fruit Trees fall into a soft wood group. On the wood database website the fruit trees they have listed are somewhat close on the hardness scale. The Peach is great for soft talk. The hardest surface for me to get a realistic purr on is Crystal, with the Peach I Feel like I can get a really good soft purr. The next closest striker I have besides a Crab Apple is a Curly Maple. As far as what is would be comparable to other woods ,Steve will have to help us out about that,Steve did say it makes the shop smell like peaches when it's being turned.
