When I first received my had hen 2 I didn't like it nowhere near as much as my MH1. I didn't pack it to the woods a single time this year. Mad hen 1 just has that urgent sound of a truly excited hen. However the MH2 is growing on me. One thing that it has that the orignal don't is that bassy thump on the back end which is very realistic. MH2 is also nasally whereas original is more urgent and barkier. I've had great luck with the original and will actually give the MH2 a try next year.

I have both and I just like the pitch of the mad hen 2 better. I know they are both great sounding calls. I didn't call a bird up with either mainly because I used some of my other calls and they were getting it done.
