Well, shot the new gun this mornin. 40 yards, 3" Long Beard 6s, and a old star dot out of my dads gun. Wish I had some 3 1/2s to try.

looks like a real good pattern, what kind of numbers did u get

Captaintopwater

From the black line above the box of shells up to top of target 221.

My suggestion is put up a 3' x 3' sheet of paper, and find out where the center of your pattern is, do this at 15-25 yds., before shooting  a head and neck target. Same with your choke, maybe your gun doesn't like the choke from your Dads gun. This might be a better plan then going to the 3 1/2" shells.

Based on what you've posted I feel like your set with that star dot and the 3" LB's.  The 3'x3' will just confirm that IMO, I would like to see what's to the left and right in a 20" circle just so you know what he's running into if he moves as you squeeze the trigger.

Mine sure likes the 6's
Nice pattern good luck.
I stayed with the 3".

I'll shoot a bigger target later just to know everything, but I feel like with those numbers, that my POi is good. I gotta try a 3 1/2! If it's not much better I'll stick with 3s.
