Decoys or not in this setup?

Had a bird gobble maybe 10 times this morning on the roost in the middle of a block of timber that was cut last summer. This block has a few trees left scattered throughout it and has left tree tops piled up throughout it. I have a decent idea pretty close to which tree the bird was rooster in this morning and built a blind next to a tree close to where he was roosted over looking an open area. Should I go back in this afternoon w a jake strutter and hen and wait for him to hopefully come back to same roost or no decoys at all?

Being you are hunting a spot you expect him to be I would not use dekes!

Is it clear enough in that spot, and flat enough, that he can see if there is a hen or not, when he is still beyond shotgun range?

The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.
