Well I finally ended on a high note. After missing an Eastern in SC and missing a bird on Wednesday on this trip I connected on Thursday afternoon. He had a 9 1/2" beard one Spur was 3/4 and the other was 7/8 which wasn't a surprise I was hunting right on the edge of the hill country near the town of Rock Springs. It's not named that by accident plenty of rocky ground and was some of the roughest country I've seen. Didn't weigh him but was every bit of 20 lbs. Came to the call with no decoy, shot him at 10 yards. Chief

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
