Does anyone still hunt with a blued gun with wood stock? All I ever see anymore is Black guns or camo guns. I would love to see some good old blued and wood guns. Please post pics if you got them. I will post some if I can get a turkey soon.

Everyone knows you can't kill a Tom with a bright shiny 20 gauge  :funnyturkey:

Ha, I love it. I killed quite a few with a bright shiny 870 wingmaster years ago. Now I see people stressing over what pattern of camo a turkey might notice, lol.

I've never owned a camo gun. This one still works after almost 20 years.

This was last Monday.

And this was last year about 300yd. north of the 1st photo.

One of the best turkey hunters I've had the privilege of hunting with used an old Remington 1100, with a modified fixed choke barrel, that had very little finish left on it. The wood was beaten-up pretty badly as well. He used that gun for everything, waterfowl, squirrels, rabbits, deer with slugs and of course turkeys. It had a long barrel, maybe 28", I'm not sure and both he and the gun are gone, so I'll never know.

That old gun in his hands accounted for very many turkeys while we hunted together and had before I ever met him.

Thanks,
Clark
