May have to take up golf

All I can say is WOW. This has been the absolute toughest turkey season I can remember. I have hunted 3 different Florida WMA's for a total of 10 days and haven't even laid eyes on a shooter bird. Two places have been quiet with only a few hens spotted and the third provided an exciting 2 days with lots of gobbles but lots of hot hens literally running to the toms. Half of our season is over and I sure hope things pick up soon. About that golf thing...I'll stick to the courses that include a pirate ship, windmill and a clowns mouth on the 18th hole.

They'll still be horny when the hens aren't. Last week is usually good for hot birds.

Well I found Hen Central last Sunday. Had birds coming in from all directions to walk among the decoys. Hopefully this Sunday the boys will come out to play.
