Newbie to the board here from Topeka, Kansas. I've hunted turkeys here and some in Oklahoma going on 30 years..lol. Sheesh that long? Started with an old hand me down H&R single shot 10 gauge hunting with my grandpa. I'm looking forward to reading more on this site. Lots of good info and people here it seems. Just finished patterning and sighting in my shotgun today and will post up some pics once I figure out how to do so. Have a good one everyone!

Yup 1 week unless you're a kid or disabled. April 1st for them and judging from my scouting trip yesterday the birds are primed and ready for them!

Yeah,  our scouting has been pretty astounding... lots of birds.

Yeah lots of birds and very vocal so far. Let out some some yelps at these 3 strutters I saw that had about 6 hens with them to see how responsive they were. Just barely finished my last yelp and all 3 gobbled and were sprinting towards me..lol.
