Ok,
I always seem to have a problem of finishing them off! It seems they are hanging up out of range, but where they think the "hen" should be able to see them and go to them. Here is what I plan on changing.
No decoys....I plan on letting them come find me. Once they saw the decoys, they hung up out of range.
Hunting where it is thicker or the terrain "hides" me a little better.
When they come looking for me, I want them to be in range.
I'm hunting with a lot of other hunters and I think these birds come so far and then wait for the "hen".
Hunt later in the day and season....less competition, both hens and hunters.
No calling when I first hear them, I think they may still be in the trees.
Aggressive cutting when I hear them with hens.
What do you all think?
