I'm completely new to hunting. This will be my first year in the woods so all the tips and advice are welcome. My first 33 springs have been on baseball fields and can't wait to get out to a new type of field.

Welcome to my addiction. Good luck and more importantly, enjoy.

Oh man, you messed up now!   I love the spring woods.  Welcome to the insanity.  There is a ton of good info on here. I came to turkey hunting later in life and am still learning a lot each and every year.  If you can find a wise woodsman to take you out (you supply the location works best) and you will learn a ton faster. I had a guy a couple years younger than me that grew up hunting turkeys that taught me a bunch.  As a caution, I also had a guy teach me about duck hunting and I had to UNlearn durn near everything he said!
Psalms 118v24: This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
