Well i tried my luck at a local romp and stomp WMA, in the south zone. It began with me going the day before, and roosting my bird. knowing where he was roosted I was sure for it to be a sure thing. Well I learned that it was far from it. He didn't gobble once, all I heard was hens clucking farther down the road and that's right where he went to. I waited till around 10:00 to crawl and and glass the road, and at about 250 yards out he was strutting his stuff with 6 of his biggest fans. so I aggressively started calling to him. But he wouldn't budge, so we tried to cut him off but they had traveled quicker then I had anticipated, and one of his escorts busted me. So Frustrated, and angry I drove home thinking of a million things I could or shouldn't have done, while saying a few select words. But knowing he would possibly roost on the same road that I tried the following morning. I got to the spot way before sunrise sat down and tried to listen for my bird over the loud humming of the mosquito's that might as well have been small single engine planes. As the sun begin to peek over the horizon I begin hearing faint clucks and soft yelps to my left multiple hens getting ready for there daily routine. Then I heard it the gobble we all love to hear to my right, and close 80 yards or so. But as the morning progressed the hens were walking behind me headed towards my bird. At that point I thought it was game over. so another hour goes by and he quit gobbling as soon as he was off the roost like most of these birds down here do. So I waited..... and waited and my curiosity got the best of me I tried to sneak out to catch a glimpse with my binos in a akward squatting/ standing stage, a hen steps out, then another hen 10 minutes or so of a stare down by each bird that passed my thighs were beginning to burn then finally my bird came in tow so I quickly dropped my binos picked up my gun and snap shot him at 40 yards and dropped him there in his tracks just in time for breakfast.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Sounds like a great hunt..

I use photobucket for my pictures...  Download them on to photobucket, and then copy the URL link, and your pics will show up...
Did I do that?

Thanks Marc I'm new here haha

I was a bit rushed previously...

Go to www.photobucket.com and create an account.

You can then download any picture from your computer...  Once downloaded, you can click on the picture, and off to the right you will have several options for links.  If you click in the middle of the link next to IMG it should say "copied" for a brief moment...  Then you simply past it to your post here...
