Classified Sections Pictures?

What ever happened to the classified sections requiring pictures?  That was one thing that I always really liked.  I am not going to take the time to ask for pictures to buy something.  A picture does a lot for a sales ad.  Most of the ads now do not have a picture.  Some say they do not know how to post a picture but there is tutorial explaining the process.  Would be nice to see people post pictures of things if they really wanted to sell it.  I wish the rule of post a picture or it will be deleted would come back.

The rules are clear.


Classifieds rules

1)  NO SALE of FIREARMS or anything requiring a FFL due to legal reasons.

2) Post a picture ,every single item listed for sale requires a actual picture of the item  - if there is no picture it will get yanked down right on the spot - this is to thwart scam artists

3) Mark all Sold items as Sold

4) All classifieds are at your own risk - use precautions to protect yourself Buyer/Seller Beware:Meaning if you do not know who you are buying/trading/selling with, make sure you take appropriate safeguards to protect yourself (getting full name, complete address, phone number, etc)

5) If you send payment via the USPS, it is a federal felony not to honor the transaction once you cash a check or M.O.

6) Make sure you follow up on all transactions (acknowledging you received payment, received the product, etc.)

7) Sellers, it is REQUIRED to ship with some sort of delivery confirmation or tracking of your packages.  This protects YOU as the seller. 

8 ) Turkey Hunting Related industry only.  No Viagra, or any of that other BS, or you will be banned!

9) List a Firm Price only - no auctions best offers or the like

10) By listing an ad or responding to an ad you agree to hold Old Gobbler.com, its owners, employees and moderators (know hence forth as "WE") harmless in all transactions and are agreeing to abide by all the rules set forth by Old Gobbler.com. By posting or reading an ad, you are agreeing that WE will NOT be held responsible for the content of any message, the selling, buying, or trading of any item, product, or service. I have to be honest and am not trying to be a jerk so I hope no one takes it personal, but I agree that pics are the rules and if I click on a post and there is not a pic with it, I click rite off it. No pic = No sale....

If you have a phone with internet go to your app store and download tapatalk. Pretty easy with tapatalk.

I agree and the rule is very clear.  It doesn't seemed to be enforced though.

Simple.... Delete threads that don't have pics after 24hrs.... Problem solved!  Drives me crazy too.

From day one....pics are necessary for the classifieds. No if and or butts....if you are unable to post pics yourself, email them to someone who can.

I think the issue is having someone with enough time to enforce the laws. This is a pretty busy place anymore. If your that upset click the report to moderator button. Maybe they will even give you your own badge.

The folks posting up classifieds adds without pictures DO NOT BUY FROM THEM , when I see them I delete them on the spot , when you see them ignore them , some good members always chime in and let them know that they are not following the guidelines tu o protect us from scams

Looks like some folks either have not read this or choose to ignore it. Without pics in the classifieds an item is useless to most folks.

   The patterning picture board gets a lot of that too this time of year. We can help out by policing ourselves a little better in a friendly manner.

my apologies to those of you that are offended. I have broken the rules and not posted pics. I ask for your forgiveness and will never violate that rule again. I have traded pics through text several times with other members here. I have dealt with several also. I have never seen a trade made blindly. usually long before the deal, we exchange pics through text or emails. I understand this is a rule and we must follow them. there has a been a couple of times when everything was fine without a pic , then when you refuse the trade or buying offer from individuals , a post pops up on the thread from that person wanting pics posted. funny how it wasn't a issue to them until you turn their offer down. again rules are rules and we must obey them.
