1.Favorite time to hunt?
From the time they hit the ground until my daily limit is filled or they have flown back up for the night

2. Decoys or no decoys?
Depends, but a rarity.

3. Hunt solo or tag team?
Mostly solo but like hunting with a good friend or someone new to the sport.

4. Run and gun or wait it out?
Neither, slow, strategic, and making a move when needed.

5. What's your go to turkey call?
Probably my old Southland slate, but it will not be with me this season so we shall see.

6. Favorite place to hunt?
Where ever there are turkeys I can legally hunt.

7. You Ideal weather conditions for turkey hunting?
Blue bird morning that is cool with a slight breeze going into a mild day in the 70s - 80s.

8. Do you prefer early season or late season hunts?
Both

9. What is one thing that you have in your turkey vest that most other people do not?
When I hunt an area that has water that can be higher than my rubber boots I bring water shoes.

10. Biggest mistake turkey hunters make while hunting turkeys?
Chasing a gobbling bird and being impatient.

Favorite time to hunt. Daylight till 12:00 then 3:30 till dark.
Dekes - sometimes.
Hunt solo or tag team - Solo.
Run and gun or wait - I'm a grinder more than a runner.
Turkey call favorite - corn feeder or a C.C. Smoker.
Favorite place to hunt - out the truck or hardwoods.
Ideal weather - the truck doesn't care, or 55-75 degrees and clear.
Season - late season
Odd vest item - I'm pretty normal.
Mistakes - not resting the rifle on the truck window or moving to fast.

WNY Bowhunter

1.) I've had the most success killing birds from flydown til 6:30 or so.

2.) I mainly use decoys when I have a bird roosted or a specific set up in mind.

3.) Mostly solo, but sometimes hunt with my wife, father, other family members or friends.

4.) Run and gun

5.) Favorite call = Halloran Twisted Sister crystal

6.) Mostly within a few miles of my home.

7.) No preference other than non-windy mornings.

8.) I hunt every morning until my tags are filled. Seems like I have a lot of success during May 10-15.

9.) Most people here use box calls, I carry several pot calls with me.

10.) Over calling and lack of patience (I'm guilty of this too).
"I'm not from New Yawk.  I'm a REDNECK from Western New York!!!"
"It's not a passion. It's an OBSESSION."

1. Early morning had most of my birds down before 8am.
2. I mostly always use a decoy a DSD upright hen.
3. Usually hunt with a buddy but do like hunting solo that way I'm the only one to blame for messing up on a bird.
4. If bow hunting I will wait it out. But if carry the shotgun its run and gun.
5. Hooks Executioner mouth call.
6. Hardwoods
7. Cool and Clear skies with light wind.
8. Early season.
9. Goose cal.
10. Moving to soon

1.Favorite time to hunt?
a. early morning
b. mid morning
c. early afternoon

2. Decoys or no decoys?
I use decoys if I am in a field and they can see a long way or it is late morning and I am setting up in a throughway and blind calling.

3. Hunt solo or tag team?
Solo until I get one or two under my belt and the pressure is off a bit, then I like to tag-team

4. Run and gun or wait it out?
A little of both, depends on if I have heard any gobbles or not.  If they are gobbling good I will tend to stay in place, if there is nothing, then I run and gun which usually does not work in my area.

5. What's your go to turkey call?
Billy Buice snakewood trumpet with a 5 ring mouthpiece.  Its like American Express

6. Favorite place to hunt?
All of the above.  Anywhere I can find them

7. You Ideal weather conditions for turkey hunting?
just off of a chill in the morning when the day is going to get in the low-mid 70s and sunny (High-Pressure System)

8. Do you prefer early season or late season hunts?
late season, they tend to be pretty henned up in the upstate of SC in early season

9. What is one thing that you have in your turkey vest that most other people do not?
A primary wing from the very first turkey I killed in 1993

10. Biggest mistake turkey hunters make while hunting turkeys?
Lack of patience/not waiting long enough after a gobbler has stopped gobbling at you when you think he is committed.
