Went down to Nashville looking for one good call, and I found it. Played every calll I could get my hands on and when I played this one the search was over. Marlin Watkins serviceberry over mineral poplar. Buying a call from Mr. Watkins face to face was an experience I won't soon forget.

I got a serviceberry over walnut from Marlin at the Dillard house. I played everyone he had and I liked it the best.

I play Marlin Watkins boxes in Dillard Ga this year, he had some mighty fine sounding calls.

Fine, fine pick up Mike! That is a killer box! You are absolutely right about Marlin! He is a true gentleman. I had the opportunity to sit with him at Nashville and play his boxes while he listened. To have him nod his head to let you know that's the right box is an awesome experience!! He is obviously an incredibly talented callmaker, but more importantly a person who defines class. I won't forget my time with him.

I know Marlin has been an influence in your call making and has most likely inspired many more. My trip to Nashville allowed me to play many calls and yours and Marlin's were tops on my list. I ordered yours tonight, a padauk over black limba long box.
