Well....where the birds at in AL?

I have yet to hear or see a turkey on my properties in AL besides one gobbler gobblin three days before the season started.... anyone having bad luck like I am?

Very little gobbling, increased sightings of coyotes, even in the daylight hours.

Give it time, usually about 2 weeks into our season before things crank up.

But, as mentioned earlier, we don't have any turkeys in Bama.

mine have lockjaw. i saw 14 in a field 1 afternoon before season watched them roost in the middle of the property. been 4 times yet to hear a thing besides 1 hen.

i have seen 1 longbeard and a couple of jakes. no gobbling what so ever......yet

its usually the first part of april before they get really fired up

and yea, I have  seen about 3 signs of turkeys being killed by coyotes on my place as well... they're getting to be to many of them for me.  I found a lot of turkey tracks today, one set was huge... mature bird. Maybe i'll find him soon
