Guys down south where the air is realy humid like the call and striker for them humid mornings ,,,,,, not sure if you seen the vid I got on you tube on the strikers,,, now I don't recommend that you sit out in the poring rain with any wood pot call ,,,, as for different strikers bout any wood will run the copper all depends on the sound your lookin for ,,,, but I do like harder woods on a copper surface call
