How high off the ground should I set my cameras?

I set mine between 3-4'.

I'm a camera junkie and I set cameras at all different heights depending on what critter I want to capture, what the camera is trained on and sometimes to avoid theives. Just get at critter height in front of your camera and see if it's pointing where you want. Shim the back to get what you want. I have put cams 12' above mineral sites to get different perspectives of deer and to keep theives from finding it easy. For turkeys, I put them pretty low. 18" maybe, I like seeing spurs...

I was thinking it'd make more sense to hang them lower than I do when scouting deer.

Putting cameras on dusting sites later in season has revealed some long spurred birds following hens...just sayin....

for deer i generally put my cams two to three feet from the ground.for turkeys or smaller critters i`m with bigspurs68 lower is better usually 12 to 18 inches.putting your cams high and angling down is also a good way.it hides the cams and the deer don`t seem to pick your cam out as fast,and if your in bear county they don`t seem to bother them as much hung high.hanging high gives a different perspective but ground level i do like the pics. better.

I have no bear problems to deal with so for turkeys and other small game species as long as the area is high and dry I have no issues with putting em right down in the dirt.
