Had a guy drop by the shop the other night to run some boxes. He's been on my wait list awhile and his name is coming up. I had a cedar, a walnut, and a poplar box all with purple heart lids ready for him to inspect and place his order. I learned at Nashville how enjoyable it is to work with potential customers and get them calling pretty good which at times can involve changing every habit they have or simply teaching them how to get started. I really get a kick from that interaction. Anyway back to the guy. Nice guy and accomplished turkey hunter but was absolutely in no hurry to attempt any calling. He had me run everything and the Poplar which was sold already was our favorite. He says "just build me a poplar and ask do you want me to go ahead a pay you now?" I said hang on a minute, lets get you running this call.........He could not, which is perfectly fine and I start to instruct him. Then I realize he is left handed........both sides of the call were good but the left side was extremely good and the side I favor as a righty. He could not play the best side of that call. I guess my question would be to those of you that regularly sell boxes and work with customers, do you have any issues instructing people that use a different method than yourself or are opposite handed ?
