What is everyones favorite turkey sound? the one you have had most success. Mine has been yelping and cutting. Maybe its because my birds have been shot later in morning when aggressive calling has worked real good. Scoot

That's a tough question, the call that has sealed the deal for most of my birds has been the kee kee run. The cutting has gotten the attention of most of my birds and excited yelping.

My best call is something I kinda made up or so I thought until I heard a hen make a similar sound. It's a very excited yelp that settles down into a normal yelp. I have called in many gobblers with it.

That is pretty tough to answer because I've had luck with a few different calls under different circumstances or at varied distance s when working a bird but I'd put it this way
I like to yelp.....and I will sometimes in a pretty aggressive way and tone it down to short light yelping and clucks and purrs and even scratching leaves as a bird starts to get closer. .......so I often use what really is a basic combination of mixing it up.......which to answer your question is my favorite and tried and true method
Cutting has worked well to shock and find a bird and excited hen yelping has worked at times when a bird seems to be hanging back . I've laid into some birds that were slow to come and then just stopped calling and waited him out

From fly down cackles to scratching in the leaves, fighting purrs, cutting and excited yelping to locate and get their attention all have worked at times. I guess a little yelping, clucking and purring and scratching in the leaves is what I do the most.
Spring turkey hunting, I love it so. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE
