Yesterday morning while my son and I were out squirrel hunting we both saw a lot of poults! The biggest flock had 3 hens with 16 poults and smallest but probably average size was 2 hens with 8-9 poults! All together we saw roughly 50-60! For no more ground we covered we saw a lot birds!

Sounds like you have a great place to hunt. It is always great to see turkeys when you are outdoors.
Good luck ...... come Turkey season

Sounds like a great hatch. What part of Indiana are you located? I occasionally hunt south of Bloomington and sounds like a hunt may be in order in 2 years.

Bigbird, I got my first Indiana bird this year. I live in Muncie and travel to get on birds. It's rare to see birds around my part of the state. I hope to one day see a huntable population of turkeys in the area.

I'm in the northern part of the state, and I think we had a decent hatch as well.
