Fastfire Warranty good without original receipt

Burris warranty for FF3 since jan 1, 2014 does not need the original receipt, I would keep it anyway.

That is true of most optics.  Always stick the receipt in the box and save the box on all optics and camera equipment.

One of the things that got that started is many manufacturers package and sell products at a reduced price overseas with little to no warranty.  Then unscrupulous people buy up foreign models and resell them in the states at US prices, frequently over the Internet.  The manufacturer gets hosed if they cover such devices at US warranty agreements.  Thus they require the receipt as proof that you purchased a US marketed item.

Burris wants a copy of the original receipt when you send a fastfire 3 (or any other fastfire) in for a warranty claim,

When were you told this? i was told it wasnt needed.

I had to send my first fastfire back to burris for warranty, burris told me, it is also in their warranty information.  The aimpoint 9000c is the same.

That's ok but if you buy any new scope from burris I would keep the receipt, and call burris to see if you need to keep it, actually I would do that with any optics company.  I read that too, didn't stop Burris from requesting a copy of my purchase receipt.  I am not trying to start an argument, I know what burris warranty entails, just trying to pass what I feel is useful information I have learned from personal experience to other members.  Check out the above link to Aimpoint.

Just to try to make everyone happy I sent Burris an email asking for confirmation of their warranty as related to this post.

Hopefully they respond back. What does the Aimpoint warranty have to do with the Burris warranty? Are they owned by the same company?

Just showing you another example of where an optics manufacturer is requiring a copy of the receipt.  I don't think you really believe burris and aimpoint is owned by the same people, if you people are not interested in this kind of information I will keep it to myself in the future.  I really don't feel I have to justify everything I say, I sent my fastfire 3 in for warranty work, in the box the fastfire came in there is literature for the fastfire 3, on the back of that literature it says "Warranty", The last item that is discussed is mailing in the fastfire 3 for warranty work.  It says to include a copy of the purchase receipt with the fastfire when returned for Warranty work.  That is what I did, that is what I posted for anyone that is interested.  If you have never bought a fastfire 3 you would not know that unless you read the information for yourself.  I don't know about any other burris products, if you have any other burris products and require information on them, call Burris or email them.

Before you do you might want to check this link.     http://www.burrisoptics.com/uksite/services.html

Also if you are interested here is some warranties of other optic companies.    http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f18/so-many-options-so-many-opinions-116927/

Burris replied to my email and said as of Jan 1, 2014 fastfire 3 is covered under the forever warranty so receipts are really not necessary.
