Hard to post up about NOT hunting.  All these gobblers getting killed is about to get me down.  I still haven't gotten to hear a gobble yet here in WV.  Still haven't seen a gobbler yet either.  A little early for here though.  Come April 1st they'll be hammering.  Have heard some friends seeing strutting with hens.  Only 4 weeks until leave for SD.

Gonna be picking up my mount from last years big bird.  I will post up some pics when I get it set up.  A little gobbling on the roost action.  Saw eight birds strutting this morning all together.  It is starting to get going a little bit at least in Kansas.  Might do some scouting this weekend.

well hopefully next saturday I get a big one! I've seen him next to the public land Maybe he and I can have a meeting without anyone bugging us. lol And I can bring the big bird home.

Like Ray said, not a lot to talk about when you can't hunt. As you know Jay, I've been working long days, doing contests every couple of weekends and working on the "honey do" list a little. When I can, I sleep!  I will give this report though. All winter we've had deer and turkeys visit our backyard. The turkeys all appear to be hens and their offspring. I think 2 are jakes but that's it. We have yet to see a gobbler since we moved here in September. Yesterday, a jake and two of his sisters feed in the yard. As I went back to reading emails, I noticed the jake tear across the yard past the living room window. Hot on his trail was a huge longbeard. My girlfriend later informed me that on her way home she saw one "puffed up", as she put it, down the road from our house. I don't know where the gobblers all go in the winter here in MN but I sure am glad to see them back!
