There is a tube that runs the length of the decoy, that the stake goes up into    Mine broke in the middle cant use the decoy. Has any one else had this happen?

I don't use the decoy stake hole -- I drill a 1 inch hole behind it and use a full length aluminum rod -I do this on all my decoys - works better , the wind moves it and makes for a more natural movement

Big Willie - is that the DSD jake that you have? Are you pleased with it so far? I need to find a jake decoy for the fall and the only decoys I have ever had or even been around is the avian X.

I really like them - they are durable, quiet, and look really good. BUT I am always on the look out for better products.

I just read the thread title - DSD Strutter - I guess it is early.

Either way do you like/recommend it - are you able to compare it to avian X?

Big Willie

I have the Jake and the strutter I would highly recommend them they are awesome

I have had the DSD jake and hens since they first hit the market, even before they changed to the ACE plastic. In my humble opinion, they are the best of the best.Fred makes a good decoy, but it all comes down to personal preference.

I have the strutter and love it but I wish I could get more movement on windy days!  I like the idea of drilling your own hole but wouldn't the rod poke a hole in the top?
