How do I find which ones are good or bad?  Has anyone posted this info anywhere?  Looking for info on 12 ga. 3.5 x 2.25, #6 and #7 shot.

I don't pay attention to that.  If I buy new shells I try them to check poi/poa and just use them. I think people place too much emphasis on stuff that doesn't really matter much.  I bought 3.5 #6's the other day and got 250 in the ten with my setup, just like I did with my last year's stuff and the year before stuff.

trust me it makes a huge difference . I have 3.5" 2.25oz #6's that will only shoot 130's and i have some that will shot 210+.   H-13 change's the internal components all the time.  Both the above shells have different wads .

Gonna have to agree with the Hevi 13 3.5/2.25/6's experience. I was shooting 215-230 and shot one this year that I purchased last year and pattern was terrible. First experience I have had like this with Hevi 13. I was told to avoid the Hevi 13 7's that end with xxx400 or later and that has proven to keep me in the money with the 7's. Hevi 13 3/2/6's and 3/2/7's have continued to shoot great for me. Bought enough shells to last a lifetime.

agree all lot numbers will kill at 40 but man for the price you pay you should expect more...

The problem is EM keeps changing components and won't leave well enough alone.

Lot 300325 has been the best I have found in the 3.5" #7 loads.  Lot 300525 was a good one.  I just bought quite a few of the 300524 lot from a guy on here that should shoot.  I would try and stick close to these numbers or numbers before the 300325.

I have lot # 300797 in 3.5 in 7s ,it throws a nice pattern outa my 870 sm

As stated earlier, the only ones I've noticed a drop in is with the 3004XX. I haven't shot any lots newer than that though. Found a good supply of the earlier, good lots and stocked up. I agree the lesser #'s still kill em just as dead but when you're spending $5+ per shell you want the most for your money, at least I do!
