  CONGRATS! The absolute hardest turkey hunt Ive ever had in my life was for a merriams in NM. We hunted public land outside of Chama and in 3 days of hunting i heard one, yes ONE, turkey gobble! I killed him too, completing my first slam. I walked 12 miles by gps, not guessing, in one day in those mountains, with 6 miles of it being uphill.
