Mounting a cape...

I made my first cape from a bird earlier this season.  I did a good job getting all the fat off the skin and it's been Borax dried for 5 weeks now.  My question is if you guys mount them on a piece of leather, felt, etc.  and how to do this.  Thanks in advance.

I know this is an old topic and no one replied so I will... I just took my cape, cut cardboard to the shape of it and then a long tack or shingle nail and put it through the center of the fan to hang it up. I'm guessing after this long you have already figured something out.
