In general when you have a turkey gobbling good on roost and shortly after he flys down do you go straight to him, wait and see what direction hes going or what. My specific situation is, Im on public property in Eastern Nc. There are some small fields but birds stay in the wood most of the morning from what I can tell. Its youth season here till Sat and my son missed a jake first morning of youth season in this area I am hunting. I think the birds have moved from where they were roosting as we were right on them opening morning. We saw several jakes and a couple toms in one small field in that area,so there are still birds there we didnt scare them out last Sat. I am going to try a get him another good chance before opening day Sat
