I was lucky enough to get a nice bird in the rain yesterday right before lunch. Since TN is one bird/day, I set up my Rhino blind in the afternoon on a high vantage point and just watched the fields.
I saw a tom and 4 hens roost in the evening, so I moved my blind last night to about 250 yards from their roost.
He was gobbling his brains out this morning and I was able to call in the hens and he followed.
I about had a heart attack because he wouldn't come out of full strut. Finally, I clucked at him and he gave me a decent target at 22 yards.
