North Mississippi Double -- March 27, 2014

My friend and I doubled this morning around the Oxford area. It was his first turkey. We heard these two shock gobble at 8:45 at around 250 yards away. I did some hard yelping and they immediately responded and came in on string. It was all over by 8:55. We also used Flextone's Funky Chicken for this hunt, and when they saw it, they ran to it, strutted, gobbled, and immediately attacked it... just like the YouTube video. Unreal hunt.
Both shots were roughly 18 yards. Both of us shot 3.5" Winchester Long Beard XR #5s. I shoot a .665 Indian Creek and he shoots a Kick's GT .665. Neither bird flopped.
