Yes pressure in SE ohio I will imagine will put Louisiana pressure to shame. We are a very populated state with very small amounts of public land. That being said your best bet will be to go weekdays after the first week. I agree with the above post of trying to knock on doors. A buddy and I just spent a full ten hour Saturday knocking on doors in southern ohio. We asked 25 farms and got permission for two spots. both spots we are the only turkey hunters. It is tough and you will absolutely get mostly no's but it can be done.
Thanks fellas....
I hunt public a bit I can figure weekdays are best but not possible for me.
Same ole same ole us LA boys get told when we look for info to hunt up North...
That hunting pressure map and yall info may apply to deer hunting and/or hunting in general but definitely not turkeys...
About half the state has turkeys maybe less. We do have a good bit of public land but Very few public lands offer turkey hunting and most the season is a few days or a week or two and none of the public lands really have a good population birds are usually in concentrated areas. Most are lottery only for a weekend. Put that all together and even on weekdays you got guys all over you
