Is anybody else gonna be huntin' this weekend? Louisianas season starts this next Saturday, the 19th, and I was just wondering if anybody else will be in the woods. If you are, good luck

I have a flag retirement ceremony to attend at the VFW this Saturday morning, then I plan to spend the afternoon scouting the river farm. Our season opens on 9 APR (my mothers birthday - should be a lucky day!!)
"I admire a good turkey hunter chiefly because such a man displays qualities that we usually associate with pioneer America-patience, enthusiasm, woodcraft, game sense, and a quiet hardihood undaunted by rain, by cold, by long tough miles, by disappointment."

I thought our new guy spacman was going to be the first Head Hunter to see some action with his Nebraska archery hunt on the 25th, but now it looks like you are going to be our first guy out.
Go Coon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps. Get us a big old double beard and don't even think about shooting anything smaller than the one that your bud Honker22 put down. Oh and watch out for snakes when your'e crawling around out there in LA-LA Land.

I will be in the woods March 25th with my daughter on a Juvenile Hunt. It doesn't count for me, but I am pumped. Scouting this week, when the sun comes out on thursday at a new spot just 3 minutes from my house....and 350 acres of turkey heaven.
Official season starts April 2nd.
