Who Hunting and Hows it going?

Use this thread to update the team on who is hunting and how the hunts are going.

Ray and I will be hunting this weekend on WMA, public land.
We ussually know where the birds are, just have to get them to
Cooperate and hope no other hunters move in on us. Hopefully
One of us can score and get the team on the board.

Hows it going in Florida guys?

We did not get anything this weekend. We have another hunt on a different
Wma, coming up. I am optimistic we will get on birds, just have to see if they
Cooperate. And there is a concern about other hunters, there are a lot of different access points.

Bad weather on opening morning, and on the day after no one I talked to even heard a bird gobble. Jdavidson got on some gobbling birds on Monday but wouldn't play ball. Ill be out there this weekend hopefully ill atleast hear a gobble this weekend lol

Picked up a new field last week, went to scout and spotted the monster I'll be chasing. Season opens Wednesday.

I am hunting as much as I can but my mom has been diagnosed with cancer again. So my hunting time is limited right now.

Thanks John. If everything works out Thursday I am heading to what used to be my honey hole. 800 acres of private mountain ground here in my home county. It is where I learned to hunt. I used to tag out every year. One day the turkeys left and never came back. Its been 4 years since I hunted there. I am going to make the long trek up the mountain to see if they have returned.

I am sitting in my blind now. Not looking good for me this year. Its been a tough one.
Backwater was able to get his 2 birds. I heard my first gobble in this wma this morning.
I will see if I can get on him in the morning, 2 more days left for me.

Hunted this morning. Got on a bird early. He was already in his strut zone and had a hen yelping on my right. Hen snagged again. That's ok I know where he picks up his girls now. Hopefully Friday he will still be using the same strut zone. I will be waiting
