Weather Info for Hunters?

Hey Y'all,

What would hunters/outdoors man want or look for on a weather site.

Like what features do you want? Charts, forecasts, etc, etc, etc.

I grab my i-phone and look at three sites and factor in am average. Then I go from there as needed

I call our local AWOS....Automated Weather Observation Service..

It has great info such as wind direction, wind speeds, temp, dew point, ceilings and thunderstorm info...it is realtime info for pilots

I use it a ton for waterfowling and also for chasin turkeys...it helps in one area really well...birds will come off the roost depending on which way the wind is out of...helps me to know what side of the timber to set up on...works well for me

Do a google search for AWOS and find one in your area...get the phone # and put it in your directory...it is a free service to use also...just FYI

i walk out on the poarch, if is wet it is raining if the wetnness is falling from the sky it is raining at that moment, if the trees are blowing hard the wind is getting it. if the stars are out then it is clear. i think that is good enough......
